Come with me on a tour of Scotland!
July 3-13, Focus On Scotland, a photographic tour. When I went to Scotland for music, I never put down my camera. It’s a beautiful country and a great place to explore your interest as a photographer. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Bring that camera you’ve been meaning to learn how to use. Let’s explore and capture the light of one of the most beautiful countries in the world.
We’ll start in Edinburgh with urban hikes to Calton Hill, Arthur's Seat, Salisbury Crags and Dean Village. Then onto Dunkeld, a picturesque village in the heart of Scotland’s natural spaces — the Birks of Aberfeldy, the Hermitage, Birnam wood from Shakespeare's Macbeth, and the inspirations for Beatrix Potter’s Tales of Peter Rabbit. In the evening, we'll gather round a fire down by the river and invite some of our musician friends for a casual session.
Next stop: Glencoe, the most scenic and wild landscape in Scotland. We will visit the Lost Valley, Stalker Castle, Rannoch Moor, Buachaille Etive Mor, Loch Etive, Lochan na h-Achlaise as well as hidden destinations with swimming holes, breathtaking vistas and natural beauty unseen by most tourists. We’ll wrap up back in Edinburgh with dinner, and share stories and memories from our adventure.

Music tour:
July 15-25, 2024! I’ll play a private concert the first night, we’ll have private concerts at our hotels with the very best Scottish traditional musicians and songwriters, and we’ll go out to pubs for great local music.
We have our own bus and a guide traveling with us who’ll give us the history and folklore of the places we visit — Loch Ness, The Highlands, waterfalls, Rosslyn Chapel, ancient burial grounds and kirkyards, a musical instrument museum, a castle or two, a distillery. We’ll explore the city of Edinburgh for 3 days and nights, stay in Dunkeld and Inverness each for 3 nights, with day trips exploring the areas around them, and a final night back in Edinburgh.
